Please join us for a Joint Councils Program hosted by the Charitable Gift Planners of Southwest Florida in partnership with AFP Southwest Florida Chapter and the Southwest Florida Estate Planning Council.
Wealth of Narratives: Diverse Money Stories in Planned Giving
Presented by Andrew Tudor, CFP, CAP, Investment Advisor
Zenith Wealth Partners, Charlotte, NC

Thursday, June 18, 2026
8:00 a.m. – Check In and Networking
8:30 – 10:00 a.m. – Introductions and Program
Location: Marina Jack Restaurant, 2 Marina Plaza, Sarasota, FL 34236

The United States is on the verge of the largest wealth transfer in history, with over $84 trillion expected to change hands by 2045 and nearly $16 trillion projected to flow to charitable organizations. At the same time, the country is rapidly becoming majority-minority. For gift planners, these two realities represent both an extraordinary opportunity and a pressing challenge: how do you build trust and inspire legacy giving with donors whose relationship to wealth and generosity looks fundamentally different from donors of the past?

Andrew J. Tudor, CAP, CFP® makes the case that every financial decision a donor makes, including the decision to give, flows directly from their money story. Drawing on behavioral economics, cultural research, and his own work with diverse donors, Andrew equips gift planners with practical tools to uncover those stories and inspire lasting generational impact.
Key Takeaways

Attendees will leave with the ability to:

Understand how money stories are formed across cultural, family, and community contexts

Apply a storytelling framework to donor discovery meetings that surfaces motivation, not just assets

Recognize the emotional drivers behind philanthropic decisions and adapt cultivation strategies accordingly

Engage diverse donors more authentically by acknowledging varying views of wealth, legacy, and institutional trust

Registration is Now Open!

CGPSWFL and SWFEPC members receive complimentary admission to this event as part of their membership.

AFP Southwest Florida Members: $10

Guests: $20

(For this joint program, ALL attendees will register through the Charitable Gift Planners of Southwest Florida website. If you are a member of several organizations including Charitable Gift Planners, please register as a CGPSWFL member.)

About Our Speaker

Andrew J. Tudor is a financial expert and recognized voice at the intersection of money psychology, cultural identity, and philanthropic planning. As an Institutional Investment Advisor at Zenith Wealth Partners, Andrew serves as lead relationship manager for a portfolio of foundations and nonprofit clients, with deep expertise in endowment management, multi-generational family foundation stewardship, and the design of impact and ESG-aligned portfolios.

His work sits at a rare crossroads: the technical discipline of institutional investment management and the deeply human work of understanding why people give, how they give, and what they hope their giving will mean for generations to come. Andrew has helped nonprofit leaders and foundation trustees navigate complex charitable giving strategies, donor engagement, and long-term investment policy, always with an eye toward the communities those assets are meant to serve.

Andrew holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designations. His work has been featured on PBS, CNBC, and Cheddar News. He is a recipient of the NextGen Financial Service Award from the American College of Financial Services and was named to the Top 50 Under 50 by the Association of African American Financial Advisors.

Behind the Curtain: Understanding the Business Sale Journey and Its Philanthropic Potential (09/24/2026)

Please join us for a Charitable Gift Planners of Southwest Florida program with Clifford L. Walters and Jenifer S. Schembri of Blalock Walters.

The sale of a business is often one of the most significant financial and emotional events in an owner’s life—yet many advisors and nonprofit professionals only see part of the picture. This session offers an insider’s perspective on what business owners are focused on “behind the curtain” as they contemplate and complete a sale, how trusted advisors influence decision-making, and where philanthropy can fit into the conversation. Through real-world perspectives and stories, attendees will explore strategies for engaging business owners thoughtfully and effectively before, during, and after a transaction.

Key Takeaways:

Understand the priorities, concerns, and motivations of business owners as they contemplate and complete the sale of a business, including the emotional and financial dynamics occurring “behind the curtain.”

Explore practical approaches to initiating philanthropic conversations with business owners in ways that align charitable intent with broader wealth, estate, and succession planning objectives.

Recognize opportunities for more sophisticated charitable gifts tied to business interests and know when to engage specialized expertise and resources.
