Presented by Jocelyn Udell, Sr. Director of Donor Engagement for Leadership Giving at the Sarasota Orchestra

New to charitable gift planning – or ready for a smart refresher? This lively, practical session will give you the clarity and confidence to approach planned giving productively.

Join Jocelyn Udell as she breaks down the fundamentals and shares what it truly takes to build a successful planned giving effort. You’ll walk away with a clear understanding of both the strategy and the structure behind effective gift planning that can benefit the donor and the nonprofit.

Together, we will:

  • Define what a planned gift is—and what it isn’t
  • Identify what must be in place for planned giving to succeed in your organization
  • Review several common planned giving vehicles and how they work (ideal for advisors, development professionals, and Board members)
  • Outline the key components of a well-structured planned giving program
  • Learn how to recognize and qualify strong planned giving prospects
  • Get your specific questions answered

Perfect For:

  • Professional advisors who are new to charitable gift planning
  • Nonprofit development professionals just entering the field
  • Board members who want a clearer understanding of planned giving
  • Experienced professionals seeking a practical refresher alongside colleagues
Be sure to share this opportunity with newer professionals in your office—this session is designed to build a strong foundation and spark confidence from the start.
